JAMMU: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) strongly criticised the PDP leadership, in particular Mehbooba Mufti and Naeem Akhter for vowing and pleading for issuance of passport to traitor and Pak agent Ali Shah Geelani which has fully exposed covert relations between Geelani and Mufti.

KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri said that Geelani is booked under various sections of RPC and other penal laws of the land as well as accused of sedition. He is well known separatist and over ground leader of terrorist organisations, who openly revolted demanding J and K’s merger with Pakistan. His recent anti-national rallies at Srinagar and Tral where Pak flags were waved, anti- Indian and pro-Pak slogans raised, were two serious developments which harassed the central leadership and humiliated the nationalist forces too.

KPC Chief Kundan Kashmir further said that there have been instances when students, Haj pilgrims, parents and relatives of separatist elements have been denied travel documents for their remote connection with militants. He said under these circumstances it is impossible for the Government in particular the Central Government  to ignore these facts. Hence issuance of passport on humanitarian grounds to Geelani cannot be justified by any means.

KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri demanded that instead of issuing passport, he should be booked and arrested under sedition act for pro-Pak activities and for recently organised anti-national rallies in the valley.

He also asked PDP and others in the valley not interfere in this issue and advised BJP not to succumb under pressure of PDP and other quarters over this and other issues, otherwise it would further adversely affect its constituencies in Jammu region.
