JAMMU: The Contractor Association of Estate Division Jammu has asked the State Government to release the pending funds for clearance claims within week otherwise they will stop all the ongoing works immediately.
President of the association Sanjay said that the contractors affiliated to this association have been engaged as piece workers for execution of different nature of works such as face lifting/addition alternation of Government quarters meant for move and non-move employees.
“We have executed works worth crores of rupees during the financial year 2014-15 and the payments in respect of these works have not yet been released,” he said.
The work done liabilities for the period of 2007-8 to 2010-2011 duly verified by the Audit and Inspection Deptt is also laying pending for payment in the Estates Division Jammu, he informed.
