RAMBAN: Police on Monday foiled a bid of bovine smuggling at Ramsoo by rescuing three bovines and arresting the smuggler.
According to a report, on specific information, a police party led by SHO Ramsoo Inspr Ab. Momin, under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohd Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar laid a special Naka at Ramsoo and intercepted a Tata Magic Auto (JK 19 – 1192).
During checking, three bovines were found loaded in it in a cruel manner. One person namely Ishfaq Mazid son of Ab. Mazid resident of Ashar Banihal was arrested and a case under FIR No. 27/2015 section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act was registered against him at Police Station Ramsoo.
