4 thieves arrested, dozens burglaries solved

POONCH: Police on Saturday solved number of burglary cases with the arrest of four thieves in Poonch District.
Briefing media, SSP Poonch J.S Johar said that on 7th May 2015 a written complaint was lodged by one Mohd Bisharat about theft in his shop at Parade Ground Poonch.
Taking serious note of the increasing theft cases in the district, a team was constituted including DSP Headquarters Mujeed Ur Rehman, DySP (Ops) Poonch Sheezan Bhat, SHO Poonch Jatinder Raina, SI Kapil Manhas and SI Mohd Yaqoob which arrested one mastermind behind the burglaries. During the investigation, arrested Mumtaz Ali son of Abdul Rehman resident of Bhatidhar confessed the crime and on his disclosure three more thieves involved in the same were arrested which were identified as Mohd Shabir son of Qamar Din resident of village Chacktro ,Tehsil Mandi, Mohd Farooq son of Mohd Aslam resident of Chandak and Mohd Ishaq son of Mohd Din resident of Ajote.
During the course of investigation, they confessed their hand in many other burglaries in the district through-out the year.
Police also recovered Rs 43,000 from them which they looted from the shopkeeper and also booked them in a case under FIR No section 382 RPC at Police Station Poonch.
