JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir PoJK DPs Front organized a protest rally against the Ex Officio Provincial Rehabilitation Officer, Jammu and Additional Divisional Commissioner Jammu for not initiating the process of implementation of the Financial Package granted by the Government of India on 9th August, 2000.
The Executive Committee of the Front led by Rachhpal Singh Chib has resolved to protest against the above mentioned officers for their anti PoJK DPs attitude and stalling the process of implementation of the relief/aid sanctioned by the Government of India.
Rachhpal said that both the above officers have put a halt to the process of implementation of the package sanctioned by the Government of India.
He further said though the present PRO Jammu has requested the Divisional Commissioner Jammu for granting permission to publishing the mandatory notification for inviting claim Applications from the eligible DPs uprooted from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the year 1947, 1965, 1971 (Camp and Non-Camp) and Divisional Commissioner Jammu’s directions to prepare the case for taking up the case with higher authorities, but the Additional Commissioner Jammu has not done anything for further process.
The process of implementation of the Financial Package sanctioned by the Union Government of India 15 years ago, has been stalled authoritatively by the Additional Commissioner Jammu despite repeated requests of the PoJK DPs Front.
The Executive Committee has now resolved to go on hunger strike soon if the process is not started immediately.
No option is left for the Front except to go on hunger Strike for their legitimate rights, said Rachhpal.
He also demanded registration of about 2000 unregistered family.
