DODA: A zonal level inter school tournament of Ghat Zone organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded at HSS Ghat here yesterday.
The tournament which was held in under 14 and under 17 years age group witnessed participation of 260 student players both boys and girls from various schools of Ghat Zone in the discipline Volley Ball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Wrestling.
The tournament was inaugurated by Principal HSS Ghat, Sudesh Raina and was held under the supervision of Mool Raj Uttam, ZPEO Ghat and over all supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda, S.R Kotwal.
In Volleyball final under 17 years boys section, HS Jodhpur emerged as winner while HSS Ghat won the tittle in Kabaddi and in Kho-Kho, HSS Ghat beat LHS Sharerna. In under-17 years girls section, the final match of Kho-Kho was won by HSS Ghat.
Under 14 years boys section, MS Kashore won the Kabaddi match beating BMS Ghat and in Kho-Kho GMS Ghat beat BMS Ghat. In wrestling, Asif Ali, Ashfaq Ahmed, Kailash Kumar, Anil Kumar, Gulshan Kumar, Vikrant, Tofil Ahmed and Ravees Ahmed emerged as champions in different weight categories.
