UDHAMPUR: Residents of Battal Ballain locality in Udhampur held a protest against the local administration and Pollution Control Department for its failure to check pollution in their locality caused by local industries.
Residents of Battal Ballian locality assembled near industrial estate area and protested against the Pollution Control Department and local administration for not paying due attention towards problems being faced by the locals due to increasing menace of pollution in their locality. Protestors also raised slogans against the Govt. for not controlling the industrial units which are not following guide lines and measures to keep environment pollution free. They urged the Govt. and concerned department not to indulge in unhealthy practice to favour defaulters but to take strong and legal action against them so that people can live with good health.
