AKHNOOR: Police on Sunday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 60 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, a patrolling party of Police Post Jourian laid a surprise Naka at Jourian and stopped one Motor Cycle bearing registration No. JK02X-0293 driven by Dalip Singh son of Raghubir Singh resident of Danwal Jammu. On his search, police recovered 60- pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
The accused was arrested on the spot along with liquor. A case under FIR No. 77/15 section 48-A Excise Act was registered and investigation of the case is going on.
