4 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers held

MIRANSAHIB: Police on Sunday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by arresting two smugglers and rescued four bovines from them.
According to a report, a team of Miransahib Police Station led by SHO Umesh Nag laid a Naka at Ratian village and intercepted a Tata Mobile (JK02G-5528). During the search of vehicle, police found four bovines loaded in it.
The smugglers identified as Ghulam Awaz resident of Kazigund and Liakat Ali resident of Gujjar Basti, Katyal were arrested and bovines rescued. A case under relevant section was registered at Police Station Miransahib.
