JAMMU: An awareness camp was organized by J&K State Women’s Development Corporation (WDC) at Village Lower Ranjan Block Mathwar District Jammu on Saturday. Near about 90 women of the village participated in the camp and were apprised about the schemes run by JKWDC by Rifat Qamer, Staff Officer/ District Manager and Ravi Kumar, Field Supervisor JKWDC.
The girls who have left their studies due to financial problems were asked to avail education loan facilities and continue their studies. The ladies were asked to come forward and take soft loans under various schemes like National Minorities Development Finance Corporation, NBCFDC, NHDFC and ESW from the corporation and start their own small business unit to support their families in running the day to day life. Madan Lal also spoke on the occasion.
Among others the Sarpanch Sanjeev Singh, Jagdesh Raj Panchyat Secretary and Kuldeep Kour, Social worker of the village were also present in the camp.
