JAMMU: Students from Ladakh region on Friday raised their voice against the failed mission of the so called NDMA in dealing with the Phuktal river blockage.
A large number of Ladakhi students assembled in front of Press Club Jammu and raised anti-government slogans
They alleged NDMA assured the local people and civil administration that they did a marvelous job and the artificial lake will follow in a controlled manner and will not burst out all of a sudden.
“The NDMA team in particular and the State and Central Government in general befooled all the innocent people of Zanskar and Ladakh by claiming their childish act of digging a channel as a controlled and safe breaching of that 15 km long artificial lake but all of a sudden on 7th May the artificial lake burst out and turn into the deadliest disaster in the history of Zanskar,” they mentioned.
“It will cause to remain close of school until bridges and road are not constructed soon and how the students will cover their syllabus in this distributed situation,” they said and asked government to promote them as it has been done in the case of Kashmir Valley.
