POONCH: In order to check the menace of narcotic substances / illicit drugs, Sheezan Bhat DY.SP (Ops), Inspector Jatinder Raina SHO Police Station Poonch on the direction of Jatinder Singh Johar SSP Poonch laid a trap and recovered 2,200 psychotropic capsules from chemist shop of Baljit Singh located at Daruni Bazaar Poonch.
The chemist used to purchase one packet of capsules for Rs. 65 and sell at double the price to the local youth of the area.
Further investigation is going on to unearth the modus operandi of the chemist and his nexus with other local and non-local associates.
Recovered capsules were handed over the Inspector Drugs and Control Poonch for further legal action.
