UDHAMPUR: Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Barmeen girls won respective matches in the four-day Zonal Level Inter-School U/14 and U/7 Tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Shaheed Rajneesh Stadium Ghordi, commenced here on Tuesday.
The tournament which was declared open by Chief Guest, V.P Sharma, Naib Tehsildar, Ghordi being held under the supervision of Yashpaul Sharma, Physical Education Master GHSS Kasuri and overall supervision of Sunil Singh Sambyal, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur.
Other guests present were Preetam Singh, Rakesh Khajuria, Vishnu Pardeep, Vikrant Balgotra, Naresh Kumar, Vishal Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Swarndeep Singh Tara, Ajay Sharma and Karun Magotra.
A total of 81 girls from six institutions of the zone took part in the competition.
Results under-17 kabaddi: GHSS Barmeen defeated GHSS Ghordi. Kho-Kho: GHSS Barmeen beat GHSS Ghordi. Under-14: Kabaddi: Government Middle School (GMS) defeated GHS Panjgarain Nagrota. Kho-Kho: GMS Ghordi outplayed KGBV Ghordi.
