JAMMU : Various Sikh organisations condemn the attack on Gurdwara Singh Sabha Kishtwar by the fanatic activists of other community, who threw out the belongings of Head Granthi of the religious institution besides the religious books on 30th April, 2015.
During the meeting of the office bearers of Sikh United Front, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh Welfare Society, Bhai Kanahiya Nishkam Seva Society All India Sikh Student Federation the participants deplored the act of vandalism and threatening the existence of minority community in Kishtwar. They said that on one hand Modi – Mufti are making all out efforts for creating communal harmony and brother-hood among the communities and on the other hand some miscreants are destroying the harmony thereby causing serious damage to the efforts of Modi – Mufti.
Chief Organiser of Bhai Kanahiya Nishkam Society Mohinder Singh said that a piece of land measuring 1 Kanal 16 Marlas over which the Gurdwara structure exists was donated by two devotees namely Nand Lal and Buby Chand for which the agreement was made in the Court in 1916 and is in possession of Gurdwara Committee since then.
Mohinder Singh regretted that the police and administration have not registered an FIR against those who took the law in their hands, made an attack on Granthi, threw out the Gurdwara belongings and threatened of dire consequences. The participants appealed to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to intervene because such an act by a handful of people can create the law and order problem much against the efforts of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mohd Sayed.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Avtar Singh Khalsa, Paramjit Singh, Kulwant Singh, Gajjan Singh, Ramnik Singh Bijral, Manmohan Singh, Kanpur Singh Datta, Rajinder Singh, Gurmeeet Singh, Tejpal Soingh, Raja Singh, Kultar Singh, Harpal Singh and Charanvir Singh.
