JKEEGA delegation calls on Dy CM

JAMMU: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates’ Association (JKEEGA) met Dy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, who is also holding the portfolio of Power Department, here on Sunday.

The delegation led by President JKEEGA Doulat Ram Bhagat, submitted charter of demands to Dr Singh highlighting various pending issues faced by the fraternity.

Bhagat expressed concern over major issue of non-regularisation and its demoralising effect on the fraternity members at all levels and impressed upon the need of asset based management at sub-division level on the pattern of neighbouring states.

The issue of enhancement of the field travelling allowance was also discussed in favour of JEs. The delegation also raised the issue of non-inclusion of AMIE fellow engineers in the seniority list and mentioned that, since 1999 they are struggling for the inclusion of their names in the seniority list despite of the fact that their juniors have already been promoted.

The Power Minister gave a patient hearing to all the issues and assured for calling a joint meeting with the Administrative Secretary at Srinagar so that these issues could be resolved at an earliest.

The delegation comprised of Ravinder Kumar Sharma Vice President, Mohammad Ashraf Publicity Secretary, Rohit Gupta Provincial Secretary, Ajay Bhagat Treasurer and Vinod Kumar Cashier.
