JAMMU: A re-union and meet was held today at Jammu of the senior officers belonging to KAS 2001 batch before shifting of capital to Summer capital, Srinagar. Officers belonging to all core areas of civil, police and accounts services participated in the said re-union and spent quality time sharing experiences and resolving for better services to citizens of state in times to come.
In the beginning of re-union, KAS 2001 batch officers expressed deep condolences untimely demise of a couple of hard-working batch mates who expired sometime back. Apart from this, it was resolved that such re-union meets of batch should be regular feature at the time of closing and opening of Durbar at both Jammu and Srinagar. It was also emphasised that these meets help in increasing group fraternity and cohesion amongst all batch mates which, in turn, helps in providing better services to public of State.
Lot of officers shared their experiences and challenges they have faced and overcome in one and half decade of services and inspired others to contribute more efficiently towards public good in times to come. It was also deliberated that lot of batch mates now hold significant postings of the level of head of departments or shall be holding same in times to come due to which their responsibility increases manifold towards exhibiting their administrative skills for best public services for welfare of residents of J&K state.
Prominent amongst those who spoke on the occasion include Amit Sharma, Special Secretary, Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, Ashwani Khajuria, RTO Jammu, Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu, Raman Gupta, FA/CAO, Law Department, Narinder Khajuria, Additional Secretary to HEG, Hemkant Prasher, FA/CAO CUJ, Ranjeet Singh, AC Nazool, Jammu, Mohammad Riaz, Treasury Officer, Saddar Treasury, Jammu and Surinder Mohan, Collector PDD Jammu.
