REASI: Seven teams of DIET Reasi comprising of HoDs and lecturers, inspected various schools of Reasi and Pouni Education Zones of District Reasi and found that the Mid Day Meal (MDM) is not being served in most of the schools and was reported by the heads of these schools that the supply of grains has not been made in this session starting from 1st April, 2015.
J.R Bhardwaj Principal DIET Reasi along with Sanjay Zutshi visited Govt. High School Sirla Bhaga of Zone Reasi where the MDM was only provided to primary classes and the stock of grains was not available for the Middle Department. However he expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the school.
Taking serious note of this he directed the concerned to restore this scheme at the earliest, so that the students are not deprived of this Centrally Sponsored Scheme under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan.
