Kupwara: A Hizbul Mujahideen militant has been arrested near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of north Kashmir, army said.
Showkat Ahmad, a resident of Pehlipora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, was arrested on January nine near the LoC in Tangdar sector of Kupwara, police added too.
They said an AK rifle, two AK magazines, 67 rounds, one pistol, one pistol magazine, one hand grenade was recovered from Awan’s possession.
Awan’s belongs to the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit according to police reports.
