JAMMU: Rajat Bhardwaj and Sumit Grover in senior while Shivinder Chib and Akashdeep Singh in junior group were leading after round three in the State Chess Championship organised by the All J and K Chess Association here on Monday.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by President of the Association, Atul Kumar Gupta. Also present were General Secretary, Ashiq Ahmad Kolu and Vice President, Baldev Raj as also Coordinator, Taranvir Singh Gujral.
Ankush Kumar is Organising Secretary while Bindu Pathania is the Chief Arbiter of this event. The competition is being held under FIDE laws of chess following Swiss league system in international rules. Those selected players shall represent the State in the forthcoming National championship.
