Retired cops demand pay anomaly benefit

JAMMU: All J and K Retired Police NGO and Others Personnel Forum on Monday held a protest outside Press Club here to press the government to consider their demands.
A large number of retired police personnel under the leadership Ajeet Singh gathered in front of the Press Club and raised slogans against the government for ignoring them.
Condemning the Government Order No. 229-F of 2014 dated 17-10-2014, Ajit stated that this order is completely the violation of the High Court order.
In this government order no relief is provided to the police personnel who have been fighting this case since 1996 to 2014 and are retired now, he alleged adding that the government has made a mockery of the retired police personnel.
Ajit asked the government to provide pay anomaly benefit to the retired persons who fought this case in the High Court.
“We have already filed case of 181 retired police personnel in the High Court and 80 retired persons have given their names in the new list,” Ajit said and asked others, who are left, can also approach them, so that they are able to file their case also in time.
Mohammad Maqsood-Vice President, Hari Singh, Sham Sunder, Jaswant Singh, Avtar Singh, Harbans Lal, Mohammad Sharif, Hoshnak Chand, Zakir Hussain, Sham Sunder, Yog Raj Sharma, Bopinder Singh, Mohammad Shagir, Ramnik Singh, Bhaghal Singh, Trilok Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Mohinder Singh, Madan Lal, Rattan Lal, Bihari Lal, Kirpal Singh, Balwant Singh, Ashok Kumar, Makhan Singh, Sham Lal Sharma, Hardev Singh, Manjeet Singh, Gurdev Singh, Raghuvir Singh and Jagdish Lal were also present.
