RAMBAN: Animal Husbandry Department, Ramban, organised a demonstration camp for identifying cows for encouraging the owners to adopt Artificial Insemination facilities for genetic up gradation at Killa Seri 8kms away from the National Highway Chanderkote.
As many as 32 local cows were examined and assured for reproductive capability so as to make them capable for coming in heat and attempt to apply Heat Synchronisation Technique among them. Large number of breedable cows from adjoining villages viz Kanawate, Killa Seri, Power House, Dam Top, etc were brought by the villagers.
Later Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Ramban described the schemes viz National Mission on Protein Supplementation (NMPS-I and II) in detail to the farmers and the positives of such schemes.
