JAMMU: With uncertainty looming over formation of government in J and K, social activist, Sanjay Gupta said that this could lead to polarisation in the State.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Gupta said that people of J and K have not given clear verdict to any party and with fractured mandate no party is in a position to form the government. “This is unfortunate that politics is being played over the issue of formation of government by PDP, BJP, NC and Congress”, he added.
“Several parties have met Governor N.N Vohra on the issue but none has cleared its stand thus creating confusion among people of the State with rumour mongers taking advantage of the situation,” he said.
Sanjay said that people in large numbers have voted for a change but BJP which is heading the Centre has failed to clear its stand adding more chaos in the process of forming a government in the State.
“The onus of forming a stable government now stands on BJP and PDP’s shoulders. If these parties failed in providing stable government, it will become inevitable to stop the voice for separate Jammu State and this will further encourage communal/regional divide in the State which could prove dangerous,” he added.
