JAMMU: IECS and North Polytechnic, the two institutions working under the aegis of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions, organised Alumni Meet-2014 at Purkhoo Camp here on Tuesday.
Secretary, J and K State Board of Technical Education, Nazir Hussain Malik was the Chief Guest while Joint Director Technical Education, Mohammad Shafi Bhat and Vice-Chairman, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions, Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal were the Guests of Honour. The function was also attended among others by Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu, Neetu Maini, former Secretary State Board of Technical Education, B.R Verma, Prof. Inderjit Singh and Rajnish Magotra.
Principal IECS Polytechnic K.G Gupta delivered the welcome address. A report was presented regarding various activities going on in the two institutions and placement record was also showcased by Dean Administration, Training and Placement, Ajay Jamwal.
The alumni participating in the meet shared their memorable experiences in the campus when they were studying in the polytechnics as engineering students.
The Chief Guest, N.H Malik and Mohammad Shafi Bhat spoke about the importance of organising such meets where the alumni could refresh their memories of their student life.
Students of both the institutions presented a cultural programme. Mementoes were presented to all the alumni, who participated in the meet.
At the end, Principal North Polytechnic, K.R Sharma presented the vote of thanks.
