BISHNAH: Punjab National Bank concludes its special agriculture campaign with a Mega Kissan Credit Card (KCC) loan function at Branch Office Bishnah under the guidance of B.M Fazili AGM Circle Office J and K Circle and distributed KCCs worth Rs.2.16 crores.
Fazili had a interactive session with the farmers who were made aware about the benefits of our new Kissan credit scheme which has the inbuilt annual enhancement facility by 10 per cent for a period of five years. However the same is extended to the farmers having good track record like satisfactory utilisation of the permitted limit, timely repayment of the dues, and payment of interest as applicable.
There was a good response for the Kalyani Cards for the rural women beneficiaries , 15 women beneficiaries were given the Kalyani Cards to the tune of Rs.50,000 each, a step towards women empowerment.
In all 25 farmers were freed from the clutches of money lenders by financing them to take over their liabilities by the bank to the tune of Rs.1,00,000 each. All the farmers of the area have been sensitised about this scheme of swapping the dues to be paid to money lenders so that they are not subjected to the exploitation any more.
The others who graced the occasion included Sarpanch Ajeet Singh Charak, Navin Langer Sr. Manager and S.S Chib Distt. Coordinator.
