POONCH : Ahead of the Xmas day, the devotees of Jesus Christ led by President Nanna Gill and secretary Hamid Gill, took out a procession which commenced from Nai Basti, Poonch on Wednesday. Large number of devotees including men, women and children participated in the procession and sang carols. The procession passed through Bus Stand, Quila Bazaar, Main Bazaar, Parade Ground and finally culminated at Kamsar Church.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch Mohd Hussain Malik and SSP J.S Johar also reached the Church where the Christmas cake was cut and distributed among the devotees.
KATHUA: Kartar Public School Barnoti celebrated Christmas and New Year on Wednesday in the premises of school. Er. Nirmaljit Singh was the Chief Guest while Secretary Harpreet Kour and Principal Manjula Dogra were also present.
Nirmaljit lauded the efforts of students for conceiving and presenting a scintillating programme which enthralled the audience.
While commenting on the skit presented by 4th class students, he further said that the students have full enthusiasm and inbuilt talent and it is a matter of pleasure that the youth of present time which is future of India is equipped with the qualities of complete human being. He also complimented and wished merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Manjula Dogra Principal KPS and Harpreet Kaur, Secretary while addressing the gathering also complimented and congratulated students on Christmas and New Year. The students who participated in today`s programme include Manpreet Kaur, Tushar Basotra, Neelakshi, Sushant Suryavanshi and Sezal Thakur.
