Nami Dogri Sanstha releases ‘Ik Din Sacche Da’

JAMMU: To celebrate 12th Dogri Bhasha Mannta Din-2014, Nami Dogri Sanstha in collaboration with Manvi Parkashan, Jammu released the book “Ik Din Sacche Da” written by Om Goswami.
The book was released by Mohan Singh, Sahitya Academy Award winner and President, Duggar Manch, Jammu who was the Chief Guest.
Sahitya Academy Awardee, Om Vidyarthi presided over the function. Patron, Youth Wing, NDS, Prof. Anupama Sharma, President, Youth Wing, NDS Nidhi Kaila and Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila also shared the dais.
Congratulating the writer, Chief Guest said that Dogri is the regional language of Jammu province and must be uplifted by working in the field of Dogri literature.
He said after a long time of 12 years of struggle, the Dogri language was included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India on 22nd December, 2003.
At the State level, State Government’s attitude towards Dogri language is not fair, he said adding that there is no special status given to the Dogri and there is no uplift of Dogri language and education in the State.
Om Vidyarthi, said that writers had relation with nature, they had positive mental attitude due to which so beautiful thoughts come to them and they write down their feelings and society gets benefitted.
Advocate Kaila said that Nami Dogri Sanstha is doing yeoman’s job by organising such programmes. He lauded the efforts of Om Goswami and emphasised the need of such book which has one act plays and stage plays in Dogri language.
Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary, Nami Dogri Sanstha compered the programme and Arjun Mohan, General Secretary, Youth Wing, Nami Dogri Sanstha presented the vote of thanks.
