SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Srinagar Farooq Ahmed Shah on Friday conducted tour of Srinagar city to review the post- flood rehabilitation work undertaken to provide succour to the flood affected families.
Taking stock of rehabilitation of flood affected and Dal dwellers, Shah along with concerned officers, directed the officers of LAWDA, PHE and PDD departments to redress the problems of the people at the earliest with regard to water and power supply.
The Deputy Commissioner visited the proposed site for construction of 38 temporary shelters for the flood victims at Rakh-i-Arth Bemina. He also asked the concerned for expediting the pace for removal of encroachments on the banks of River Jehlum and its tributaries.
