JAMMU: Khalsa Cricket Club (KCC) to meet Married Cricket Club (MCC) in the final of Christmas T20 Cricket Cup 2014, organized by New Hope Christen Union at Government Girls High School Ground, Bakshi Nagar, on 21st December, 2014.
In the second semifinal played on Thursday, KCC defeated Guru Nanak Cricket Club (GNCC) by six wickets.
Batting first, GNCC could not face bowling attack of opponent and was bundled out for just 52 runs in 13 overs. No batsman touched the double figure mark. For KCC, Aman was the wrecker-in-chief with four wickets.
In reply, KCC chased the target by losing four wickets. Sourab was the top scorer with 14 runs. For his best bowling performance, Aman of KCC was adjudged Man of the Match.
Today’s match was witnessed by Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Jammu West Assembly segment, Sarv Dhaman Bhasin as Chief Guest.
Appreciating the organising committee, Bhasin said that sports activities keep the young generation physically and mentally fit and also keeps them away from drug abuses, besides promoting peace and harmony.
Prominent persons present on the occasion were Chairman New Hope Christian Union Jarnail Khokhar, President Jyoti Momen, PDP leader Vinod Sharma, organising team members Bharat Khokhar, Gulshan, Sunny Khokhar, Moti amd Soni.
