RAJOURI: Valley View Army Public School (VVAPS) Rajouri on Wednesday conducted its third annual sports meet in which the students showed their sportsmanship spirit.
To begin the ceremony, student representatives of all the three houses ran with the ‘Torch’ and thereafter the meet was declared open by Deputy GoC, Ace of Spades Division who was the Chief Guest of the day.
Students from Class Nursery to V participated in various events like sack race, relay race, lemon and spoon race, toffee race and balloon race with full enthusiasm.
Parents and various other dignitaries cheered the little ones as part of the audience. Men participated in a 75 meter race whereas mothers in a needle and thread race.
The Chief Guest congratulated the teachers and proud parents and encouraged the future generation to keep doing all tasks with the same spirit.
He also thanked the parents for encouraging their children and advised them to monitor their children’s progress and also emphasised the importance of the sports in day to day life.
