NC, Cong, PDP failed to address Jammu East issues: Rajesh

JAMMU: National Conference, Congress and Peoples Democratic Party (have never addressed the problems of Jammu East Assembly Constituency and as a result it has assumed serious proportions.
This was stated by Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate for Jammu East constituency, Rajesh Gupta in a press conference on Wednesday.
Rajesh Gupta said that the traffic congestion is the main problem in the Jammu East Constituency and the residents of the area are facing acute day to day difficulties in commuting.
“To remove this problem, I have in mind a multitier parking project at the Bus Stand and also to develop more parking areas in the city. The plan to connect Jammu East with the Circular Road would help in removing congestion from the city area,” he said.
“The genuine demand of tenants living in the custodian properties is high on my priority. I will take all pains to pursue their cause after being elected as the representative of the constituency,” he added.
Asking that development of heritage buildings and historical places which will generate employment for the younger generations as well, he said, “I have a plan to develop the Jammu East as a model heritage constituency. Our main focus would be on the completion of work at Mubarak Mandi complex in a time bound manner. Gondola project and Tawi Lake project will be taken up with State and the Central Governments. They would be approached for help and assistance in this regard on a priority basis.”
The representation of the youth of the Jammu area in the government jobs is not sufficient and this trend will be reversed by the BJP government in order to remove large scale unemployment amongst our youth, he said.
Senior leader BJP Yudhvir Sethi and President Panun Kashmir Ashwani Charungoo were also present.
