Maulvi Shah Mohd withdraws in favour of Rana

NAGROTA: Maulvi Shah Mohammed, an independent candidate from Nagrota Assembly Constituency on Saturday withdrew his candidature from the contest to Legislative Assembly elections in favour of National Conference candidate Devender Singh Rana.
Announcing his decision, amid big applause from his supporters, in presence of the National Conference candidate, Maulvi Shah Mohammed said he has taken the decision in the larger interest of the development of Nagrota, as he realised the huge contribution of Rana in this regard over the years. He said Nagrota is on the path of progress and prosperity and with Rana representing it, he was confident about its faster development.
Maulvi Shah Mohammed made a fervent appeal to the electors of Nagrota in general and his supporters in particular to vote and support Devender Singh Rana for the larger interest of the constituency. He said he will be campaigning with missionary spirit to ensure massive victory of Rana so that the vision about the growth of constituency is achieved.
“I am convinced that the day is not far when we, the people of Nagrota, will witness development taking new dimension with impetus on infrastructural development in key sectors like roads, bridges, irrigation and public health engineering besides improvement in service sectors like education and health”, he said, adding that the constituency will shine as a symbol of harmony and amity.
Maulvi Shah Mohammed wished huge success to Rana saying this will be the victory of development-craving people of the constituency.
