DPS student qualifies to participate in Nationals

JAMMU: Fifth State-Level Inter School on the spot Painting Competition was organised by Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India on the topic ‘Water Conservation-2014’ at the Auditorium Hall of India Institute of Integrative Medicines, here on Monday.
Akash S. Revankar of class VIII-A won first prize of cash Rs. 10, 000 while Ramya Ranjan of class VI-E and Seerat Gupta of 7th-I won consolation prizes of Rs. 1,000 each.
The students were trained under the guidance of the Art Teacher of the School, Suresh Sharma.
Akash S.Revankar of class VIII has also been selected for National Level Inter State On-the-Spot Painting Competition to be held at ICAR, PUSA, New Delhi in January 2015.
The prizes were distributed to the students by R.A Inqlabi, Director of Education, Dr. Ram. A Vishwakarma, Director RRL and J.N Bhagat Head of office (CGWB).
President RCT, Ajatshatru Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson, Kunwrani Ritu Singh, Director, DPS Jammu, S.S Sodhi and the principal of the school congratulated the winners for bringing laurels to the school. They also wished them for their bright future.
