May Fair School holds annual exhibition

JAMMU: Annual Social Science and Science Exhibition was inaugurated in the premises of May Fair Higher Secondary School, here by School Advisory Committee member, Sandeep.
The exhibition was divided into four sections. The History section depicted life right from the Stone Age to the Ages of Communication and IT.
The civic section revealed charts and models displaying students’ understanding of the various systems of education and governance in India such as the Gurukul education system, modern education system, Panchayati Raj, and the village system of governance.
The geography section showcased realistic models of our world and the world beyond. Models show cased Earth’s structure, topographical features of our planet.
The sciences category included the various scientific working modals like wind mills, dams, electrical circuits, photosynthesis process etc.
Around 150 students with 80 science models participated from Chand Nagar and Janipur branches in the exhibition.
Others present were Chairman, May Fair Schools, Vijay Kumar Basur, Director, Abhey Basur, Principal, Ranjit Kour Vice Principal, Mamata Anand, Administartor, Laltta Chadha, Exhibition Incharge, Ramesh Koul and Activities Coordinators Suman Reshi and Kamaljeet Kour.
Cash prizes of Rs 500, Rs 400 and Rs 300 were awarded to first, second and third place holders while six consolation prizes of Rs 200 each were awarded to six innovative projects from both branches.
Janipur Branch: Aman, Shubham and Satyam (Class 7) and Karuna and Jagriti (Class 4th) first; Aman, Chirag, Nazakat, Goutam (Class 7) and Rikhit. Kanish and Rajesh (Class 4) second; and Tanisha, Mansi, Nandni, Pragati and Vanshika (Class 7) and Rishipal and Aryan (Class 6) third.
Chand Nagar Branch: Amisha and Manvi first, Karuna and Jagriti second and Anmol, Shriya, Sunali and Stuti third.
Consolation Prizes: Hitesh Sumeria, Mansi, Ujjwal, Umar, Mehak, Arti, Shruti, Aryan Gupta, Ansh Sharma and Satyam.
