AKHNOOR: Continuing his electioneering in Akhnoor Constituency and addressing several meetings at Gurha Brahmana and Kot Garhi Panchayats, Senior Congress leader and Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, J and K, Sham Lal Sharma said National Conference and BJP nexus are being exposed, while one talks about autonomy, revocation of AFSPA the other hoodwinks the aggrieved masses such as DPs/POJK refugees showing them daydreams but allegedly denying onetime settlement recommended by State government. Castigating NC which under garb of six preconditions, laid down before BJP, indeed have hidden agenda to mislead the people of Kashmir and Jammu regions but exploring opportunities to destabilise the State for their vested political interests; as both parties frustrated by first phase polling high turnouts as per opinion polls which has given Congress total edge over all his opponents. He said next Govt. is to be formed by the Congress as State people from three regions have realised only Congress can ensure equitable development and in particular long dues to Jammu region.
Sharma urged Jammu people that from across the border all ill conceived attempts are made to disturb the peaceful Assembly elections in the State and appealed to the local people to lend helping hands to security forces to check any such incidents like Arnia.
He seeking vote of two Panchayats claimed Mini Secretariat on main road and next agenda to develop both Panchayats as satellite areas to enjoy all civic amenities of town to boost industrial activities in addition to one proposed ITI there.
