JAMMU: Former Minister and Member Parliament, Girdhari Lal Dogra was remembered on his 27th Death Anniversary.
J and K Pradesh Congress Committee paid rich tributes to Girdhari Lal Dogra in a meeting organised at PCC HQ. Shaheedi Chowk, here on Thursday.
A large number of Congressmen participated in the meeting which was presided over by Thakur Hari Singh, Vice President PCC.
While paying tributes to G.L Dogra, PCC leaders said that best tributes to him would be to strengthen the Congress at the grass root level, as G.L Dogra dedicated his whole life for strengthening the Congress Party and worked for the uplift of weaker sections.
They also described him a true Gandhian having staunch belief on secularism, socialism and democracy. He worked for the welfare of poor and weaker sections of the society and served the state in various capacities.
He played a vital and important role to bring railway line in Jammu and its further extension to through the State, they said.
Others present were Gurmukh Singh, former Minister; Chuni Lal Bhat, Dr. Rashid Choudhary (General Secretaries PCC), S. R. Sudhir, H. S. Mehta, Ashwani Puri, Rajiv K.
