AKHNOOR: Army, under the aegis of Kalidhar Brigade, on Thursday distributed furniture, PA equipments and water coolers to various schools located at Dori Dager and adjoining villages in Khour Block of Akhnoor Tehsil. Under this project, 106 sets of desks and benches to 11 schools, water coolers and water purifiers to eight schools and PA equipment to six schools were distributed. Approx 1,100 students from various schools located at Dori Dager and adjoining villages will be benefitted by the project. Commander, Kalidhar Brigade distributed these stores to school authorities in a simple function held at Dori Dager.
On this occasion, a debate competition for students of Higher Secondary School Dori Dager was conducted on theme ‘Indian Army – Selfless Service to the Nation’ and prizes were distributed to the participants. A street play to demonstrate on safety while driving two wheelers was conducted by troops during the occasion. The function was attended by Sarpanch, Panch, villagers and parents besides students and teachers from various schools.
