School Principal alleges misuse of furniture by polling staff

BHADARWAH: The downside of elections, officials get the school vacated of its furniture for election use.
The Returning Officer 54 Bhadarwah has shifted furniture from class rooms to open from the Government Higher Secondary School for Boys, Bhadarwah as the school has been converted as a strong room for elections. The entire furniture has been left in the open uncovered and unguarded, alleged the principal.
Principal Ajit Singh Kotwal while interacting with STATE TIMES said that the students numbering over 750, who till recently used to sit on the ground, have been provided these desks after squeezing the school funds. He further said that when he approached the RO that the furniture kept exposed to inclement weather may be misused by the voters and other security staff, the official paid no heed to the request. Principal said that the furniture for the use of election staff could be arranged from the local tent houses under their own arrangements.
