Jitendra reviews arrangements for Modi’s rally
KISHTWAR: Union Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh on Friday reviewed arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Kishtwar and said BJP is the only viable democratic option for self-respecting people, particularly in a State like Jammu and Kashmir.
Soon after his arrival in Kishtwar, Singh reviewed the arrangements for Modi’s election rally tomorrow.
Singh also held a series of public meetings in Kanthi, Desa, Senapati, Kandoth and Milaano before reaching Kishtwar and sought support to make Modi’s rally a success.
Addressing different groups of people at various places, Singh said, BJP is the only viable democratic option for self- respecting people, particularly in a State like Jammu and Kashmir, because here the other major national party, namely the Congress, has in its bid for power, helplessly succumbed to dynasty politics and yielded space to self-serving regional parties with no accountability.
This has resulted in mis-governance, corruption, nepotism and rampant misappropriation of central grants, he alleged.
Singh said people in the State will have to ensure that they vote for BJP in Assembly elections and install a BJP government in J and K so that they can get full benefit of the rapid march to progress and development heralded by Modi-led BJP at the Centre.
Referring to the poor development of far-flung areas as a standing example of regional discrimination, the Union Minister said certain problems like poor road connectivity and inadequate health facility have remain unaddressed even after 66 years of Independence.
“Time has come to bid goodbye to the present dispensation and welcome a new dispensation,” Singh told a gathering. PTI
