Cultural Academy’s heritage exhibition at Kala Kendra Jammu gaining momentum

JAMMU: Three days heritage exhibition being showcased at Kala Kendra Jammu has become main attraction for the students of different educational institutions.
Besides students, intellectuals, artists, and lovers of culture visited the venue to have a glimpse of items of heritage importance. The students who visited Kala Kendra Jammu for viewing the exhibition were satisfied and contended.
On the second day of exhibition, Special Secretary, Reva Kumari and Deputy Secretary Tourism and Culture Department, Abdul Rasheed, Jang S. Verman, R.B Khajuria besides large number of students from various schools area visited Kala Kendra along with staff members to have a glimpses of Heritage Exhibition organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages to mark World Heritage Week.
Interacting with media persons, parent of DPS student said, “Nice initiative by the Art and Culture Department to refresh the fading memories of Dogra culture.”
The exhibition shall culminate tomorrow in the presence of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu. For the valedictory function, Cultural Academy has made special arrangement for live folk performances by inviting the folk artists from remote areas of Jammu division.
Additional Secretary J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn appealed to the people of Jammu including educational institutional to visit the Kala Kendra along with their wards to make their children aware about the traditions and culture.
