BARAMULLA: A meeting of the Returning Officers of the seven constituencies was held on Friday under the chairmanship of District Election Officer, Farooq Ahmad Lone at Baramulla. During the meeting, various important aspects of the election preparations were discussed, which mainly focused upon the transport plan, communication plan, training to the polling staff, engagement of videographers for the various teams, constitution of election control room and complaint redressal cells at the Returning Officer’s headquarters, management of postal ballots, nomination of Sectoral and Zonal Magistrates and establishment of help-desks and information desks.
During the meeting, the transport plan was thoroughly revised and necessary changes in the transport plan were earmarked and finalised. The location of the distribution centres and the collection centres were also finalised.
Moreover, it was given out in the meeting that the master trainers have also been identified and trained.
The other issues discussed in the meeting were the availability of the election related information at help desks and information centres.
