Training programme regarding EEM held in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: To ensure free, fair and smooth conduct of Assembly Election 2014 in Srinagar district, a training programme regarding Election Expenditure Monitoring (EEM) was on Thursday held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner who is also Election Nodal Officer, Srinagar.
The Assistant Expenditure Observers, Static Surveillance Teams, Flying Squads, Video Viewing Teams, Nodal Officer, Election Expenditure Monitoring teams participated in the training programme.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the participants to ensure booking of expenditure during elections judiciously. He impressed upon them to implement Model Code of Conduct in letter and spirit during the election process.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner also directed them to follow the prescribed guidelines of Election Commission of India to ensure the free and fair elections.
It was also given out during the training programme that as many as 6,23,717 voters in eight Assembly segments of district Srinagar which include 3,24,725 male an 2,98,988 female voters shall exercise their franchise while 804 polling booths have been established in the district.
