In a function held at Jammu, the new entrants were welcomed into the party fold by Sharma and the party MP and in charge for J-K, Avinash Rai Khanna, along with Election Campaign Committee Chairman Nirmal Singh.
Sharma, while welcoming the new entrants, said that more and more people are joining BJP as the Narendra Modi wave has made them to realise that BJP is the need of the hour and parties like Congress, NC and PDP need to be shown the door for policies which resulted into mis-governance, nepotism, corruption, discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh.

He claimed that the party is going to sweep the ensuing polls and NC, Congress, JKNPP and PDP are going to be part of history.
Choudhary, who joined the BJP, said his decision to join the party is the outcome of the inspiration by the honest approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development.
Modi’s quick action during floods and NDA’s immediate strong retaliation of the Pakistani firing and commitment towards the cause of refugees are appreciable, he said.
Varinder Gupta assured to work wholeheartedly to ensure the victory of BJP candidates. He said that anger and resentment against the pro-Kashmir parties is growing massively and appealed his colleagues to put more efforts to help the party achieve its mission.
