JAMMU: “This election would mark a beginning of new era in Jammu and Kashmir as people have made up their mind to establish a new system in the State headed by PDP as it is the only alternative which can provide corruption free transparent governance”. This was stated by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) contesting candidate from Jammu-East Constituency, Bharat Choudhary after inaugurating party offices at Ward No 6 Gujjar Nagar and Ward No 2 Jullaka Mohalla established by PDP activist Praveen Akhtar.
Claiming that the people are eagerly waiting for the opportunity to teach a lesson to those who are responsible for compounding their woes during the last six years, Bharat said, “PDP has emerged as strong and viable alternative because there is a feeling among people that only PDP has moral authority to govern the State because during its earlier tenure PDP had proved how to deliver good governance.” He added that unlike others, PDP never tried to create regional or religious divide to reap political benefits. PDP senior leader Choudhary Hamid, Ashok Jogi, Zafar, Sohail Khan, Praveen Akhtar, Ritu Gondhi, Chander Shekhar and Manju Devi were also present.
Inhabitants of Gujjar Nagar and Jullaka Mohalla apprised Bharat Choudhary about the problems being faced by them.
Cautioning both the inhabitants to beware of those forces who want to divide the votes of people in order to further their own nefarious agenda, Bharat exhorted them to come out in huge numbers to strengthen PDP.
Bharat Choudhary alongwith other party leaders also visited Gurdwara Yaadgar Guru Nanak at Chand Nagar to pay obeisance.
