BARAMULLA: Three-day Taekwon-Do championship concluded at Indoor Stadium Baramulla today. Baramulla Team won the title. The championship was organized by the Taekwon-Do Association Baramulla in collaboration with Sports Council. The teams from Srinagar, Bandipora, Budgam and Baramulla districts participated in the championship.
The District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, said the efforts are on to promote sports activities in the district and for this purpose a big number of stadium and playing fields are being developed. He said that such activities are imperative to make ourselves fit both mentally and physically. He advised the children and other youth that they should participated in such games.
Later prizes were distributed among the participants.
Among others, Joint Director Planning Abdul Gani Malik, Manager Sports Council Baramulla Mushtaq Ahmad, officers besides a large number of sports lovers were present at concluding function.
