Panthers alone can salvage Jammu Pradesh: Harsh

UDHAMPUR: Flaying the Coalition Government for its six year misrule in the State, Harsh Dev Singh NPP Chairman and MLA Ramnagar, on Thursday accused the present dispensation of setting the most dubious record of mis-governance, non performance, corruption, lack of accountability and a highly fractured work culture in the State.
He said that the ruling alliance had utterly failed to live up to the expectations of the common man and had thrived purely on deceptive slogans and false promises.
He further said that though the resentment had brewed against the present Govt. in all three regions of the State but Jammu region in particular had suffered immensely during the last six-year coalition rule in all spheres.
Lashing out at the Congress-NC Govt. for what he described as persistent neglect and deprivation of Jammu region, Harsh claimed that NPP alone could salvage Jammu Pradesh and ensure restoration of its lost glory and pride.
Urging upon the general masses to vote and support the National Panthers Party, he said it alone could end the policies of bias and prejudice in various fields being pursued against the Dogra land by successive State Governments.
He strongly flayed the BJP for creating a communal divide during the last Parliamentary elections with the sole objective of promoting their political prospects.
He said that BJP led Govt. at the Centre had utterly failed to respond to the concerns of Jammu region despite its loud pronouncements and was pursuing the policy of Kashmir’s appeasement.
He mentioned that the PM’s visit to Kashmir to celebrate Diwali there followed by announcement of a financial package for the said region spoke volumes about the prejudiced mind set of BJP led Govt. and its total disregard for Jammu.
He further urged upon the people to remain vigilant against nefarious designs of divisive and communal forces.
He was addressing a mammoth public gathering today at Balpur Majalta which was followed by a massive rally organised by local unit of Majalta Panthers Party.
Harsh re-iterated the resolve of the party to strive for equitable treatment to all regions of the State with removal of all regional imbalances, ensuring due share to Jammu and Ladakh regions.
Castigating the Jammu based ministers for playing second fiddle to Kashmir leadership, he said that they had bartered away the interests of Jammu region for petty political gains.
He stressed it was NPP alone which had proved its mettle in various sessions of Assembly and raked up all possible issues confronting the common man and exposed the Govt. for its lapses, omissions, commissions as well as its prejudicial mind set.
Regarding the constituency-specific issues, Harsh said that Ramnagar-Majalta had been developed as a model constituency and had become an example for others to emulate.
Various workers of different political parties resigned from their respective parties and joined NPP.
