JAMMU: The Home department on Monday ordered the enhancement of honourarium of Special Police Officers (SPOs) of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
According to the order, SPOs having less than one year experience shall be given Rs 5,000 and on completion of one year they will be given Rs 5,500 while after the completion of three years, the SPOs shall be paid Rs 6,000 per month.
The Home department order further state that enhancement in the honourium of SPOs shall be for two financial years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 with effect from January 1, 2016 or till the validity of SRE scheme, whichever is earlier.
