KATHUA: Police on Saturday arrested two chain snatchers within 24 hours of the incident and recovered stolen golden chain worth Rs 50000 from them.
According to a report, on 8th April 2016, two unknown persons riding a motorcycle snatched the chain of a lady at Shaheedi Chowk and managed to escape from the spot. Accordingly a case vide FIR No 144/2016 under section 382 RPC was lodged at Police Station Kathua. During investigation it was surfaced that two brothers namely Amit Sharma alias Mittu and Umesh Sharma alias Happy both sons of Chamam Lal resident of W No 12 Kathua snatched the chain . Police arrested both the persons and recovered the chain on their confession.
