UDHAMPUR: National Service Scheme (NSS) Units of Government College form Women (GCW) Udhampur on Thursday organised a Poetry Recitation Competition on the topic ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’.
The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the Principal, Prof. K.S Koushal, and welcome address was given by Prof. Swarna Bhougal, NSS Programme Officer.
Principal exhorted upon the crucial role of females in the society as well as their education.
He also focused on
the importance of self enlightenment and self awareness on the part of women, Deepika, Rakhi and Shakti stood first, second and third respectively.
