COVID-19 tally in J&K crosses 1-lakh mark; death toll climbs to 1,558
507 new cases, 9 deaths reported

Srinagar: The number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir crossed the one-lakh mark as 507 new cases of the infection were recorded on Wednesday, while nine deaths took place in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1,558, officials said.
With the fresh 507 cases, the total number of cases in the Union Territory crossed the one-lakh mark and has risen to 100351, they said.
The officials said out of the fresh cases, 181 were from Jammu division and 326 from Kashmir Valley, they said.
They said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 140 cases, followed by 94 in Jammu.
There are 5,480 active cases, while 93,313 patients have recovered so far, the officials said.
Meanwhile, the union territory reported nine COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours – four from Jammu division and five from the Kashmir Valley.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 100351 positive cases, 5480 are Active Positive, 93313 have recovered and 1558 have died; 524 in Jammu division and 1034 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 2551946 test results available, 2451595 samples have been tested as negative till November 11, 2020.
Till date 701640 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 16989 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 5480 in isolation and 41849 in home surveillance. Besides, 635764 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 20845 positive cases (including 140 cases reported today) with 1424 Active Positive, 19036 recovered (including 119 cases recovered today), 385 deaths; Baramulla has 6594 positive cases (including 40 cases reported today) with 752 Active Positive, 5689 recovered (including 96 cases recovered today), 153 deaths; Pulwama reported 4804 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 132 active positive cases, 4588 recovered (including 23 cases recovered today), 84 deaths; Kulgam has 2533 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 85 Active Positive, 2400 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Shopian has 2266 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 89 Active Positive, 2142 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today) and 35 deaths; Anantnag district has 4359 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 190 Active Positive, 4094 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 75 deaths; Budgam has 6345 positive cases (including 31 cases reported today) with 307 Active Positive and 5943 recoveries (including 25 cases recovered today), 95 deaths; Kupwara has 4734 positive cases (including 32 cases reported today) with 443 Active Positive, 4215 recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today), 76 deaths; Bandipora has 4175 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 157 Active Positive, 3970 recovered (including 16 cases recovered today), 48 deaths and Ganderbal has 3847 positive cases (including 44 cases reported today) with 300 active positive cases, 3512 recoveries (including 28 cases recovered today)and 35 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 18656 positive cases (including 94 cases reported today) with 685 active positive cases, 17698 recoveries (including 29 cases recovered today), 273 deaths; Rajouri has 3282 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 90 active positive cases, 3144 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Ramban has 1702 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 100 active positive, 1584 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today) and 18 deaths; Kathua has 2551 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 66 Active positive, 2452 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 33 deaths; Udhampur has 2907 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today) with 207 active positive cases, 2667 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today) and 33 deaths; Samba has 2239 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 74 Active Positive, 2140 recoveries and 25 deaths; Doda has 2755 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 105 active positive cases, 2601 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today), 49 deaths; Poonch has 2320 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 70 active positive, 2228 recoveries (including 05 cases reported today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1343 positive cases including 4 cases reported today, 68 active positive, 1267 recoveries and 08 deaths while Kishtwar has 2094 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 136 active positive cases and 1943 recoveries (including 39 cases recovered today) and 15 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 100351 positive cases in J&K, 10140 have been reported as travelers while 90211 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1306 COVID dedicated beds, 1170 Isolation beds with 1053 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 91 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2345 COVID dedicated beds, 2197 Isolation beds where 1726 beds are vacant and 148 ICU beds where 120 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 3651 COVID dedicated beds, 3367 Isolation beds with 2779 beds vacant and 284 ICU beds with 211 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
