Anti-Corruption Day observed at SKUAST-J

JAMMU: Sher -e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology Jammu on Wednesday organised a program on the occasion of Anti-corruption day.
Mayor of Jammu, Rajinder Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
The program began with lighting of the ceremonial Lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
After the formal welcome of the chief guest by Vice Chancellor Prof. J.P Sharma SKUAST and Prof Rakesh Nanda, Director Education SKUAST Jammu, the Mayor, in his address, highlighted the different problems faced by the public and the steps being taken by him as Mayor Jammu to combat the same. He emphasised the importance of ease of doing business by bringing in transparency in service delivery for common citizens. “This will go a long way in preventing corrupt practices in the service sector,” he added. He also impressed upon the students to play their role in making a corruption free Jammu in particular and a corruption free India in general.
The Mayor urged the students to participate in large numbers in the march being organised by JMC on 9th of December, 2022 – the International Anti-Corruption Day.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof Rakesh Nanda, Director Education SKUAST Jammu and the singing of the National Anthem.
The event was coordinated by Professor Sushil Gupta Registrar SKUAST Jammu in association with Prof Manmohan Sharma, Prof Subash Kashap, Dr. Harsh Sharma. The event was attended by HODs, faculty members and students in large numbers.
